Overview:
The "Synergy-net: Research and Digital Solutions in the fight against oncological pathologies" R&D project is carried out in collaboration with Bollino I.T. S.p.A. and the Department of Advanced Medical and Surgical Sciences of the University of Campania "Luigi Vanvitelli" for developing a platform with the aim to define innovative approaches to oncological diagnosis.
Description
The "Synergy-net: Research and Digital Solutions in the fight against oncological pathologies" R&D project aims at the development of the Technological Platform "Synergy-net" as an innovative solution to approach oncological diagnosis (oncological screening phase), through the integration of an interoperable system of communication and management of clinical data and methodologies based on Knwoledge Based predictive models trained with appropriate Machine Learning techniques.
The project for contents and research goals and application to pre-clinical (diagnosis) and clinical (treatment and prognosis) and industrial research aims oriented to the industrialization of digital product/service conceived for these purposes, has a strong interdisciplinary nature (lung cancer, breast cancer, colorectal cancer, gastro-intestinal carcinomas, liver cancer, prostate cancer, thyroid cancer and skin malignancies), which requires the collaboration of very different sectors and professionals (general practitioners, specialists, radiologists, surgeons, pathologists, molecular biologists and, of course, oncologists, as well as the support of a team of engineers for the aspects of Machine Learning and Pattern Recognition and software developers experienced in health care).
